THE BASICS
01
OBJECTIVE
Play your way — two options. Competitive: score the most points across all rounds. Points are earned by giving haircuts, accepting dares, and completing roleplay cards. Highest score wins. Tiebreaker: most remaining DP. Just for fun: ignore the scores entirely and play until the round limit ends — the real prize is whatever ends up on someone's head.
STARTING RESOURCES
Both players start with 10 Dare Points (DP), 0 score points, one Veto token and one Negotiate token. Who goes first is chosen at random.
YOUR TURN
On your turn you choose one of two actions — give your opponent a Haircut (costs DP, you earn pts) or pick a Dare Card to be performed on you (free, you earn pts and DP). You can also add a Cutting Modifier to any haircut.
CARDS PER TURN
Each turn you receive 5 Haircut cards, 5 Dare cards and 5 Cutting Modifier cards freshly dealt. Cards are filtered to suit your opponent's hair length. Pick one and play.
CONFIRMING A TURN
After a card is played, both players must confirm before the turn advances. The cutter confirms they performed the cut. The receiver confirms they accepted it. Only then does the next turn begin.
DICE CARDS
Cards marked 🎲 require a dice roll. If you roll an odd number, score points are multiplied ×1.5. Some dare cards let you earn the exact number rolled as bonus points.
HAIR LENGTH
Each player sets their current hair length at the start (Shaved → Very Long). Haircut cards are filtered so only cuts appropriate for the receiver's length appear. Longer hair = more extreme options available.

DARE POINTS
02
EARNING DP
Play any Dare card — you earn DP for accepting it. Colour cards earn DP for both players when completed. Roleplay cards earn high DP for both players for commitment and character.
BRAVERY DP
Receive a haircut and automatically earn DP just for sitting through it. The more extreme the tier, the more you earn: Tier 1 +1 · Tier 2 +2 · Tier 3 +4 · Tier 4 +6 DP.
SPENDING DP
Giving a haircut costs DP based on its tier. Adding a Cutting Modifier costs DP based on its rarity. Running low? Play dare cards to earn DP before going for big cuts.
BRAVERY SCORE BONUS
When you receive a haircut, you also earn a bravery score bonus worth 30% of the cut's base points — automatically added to your score just for accepting it.
ESCALATION BONUS
Play a higher tier cut than your own last cut and both players instantly earn +5 DP. Rewards bold escalation and keeps the game building in intensity. Resets each round.
🏆
HAIRCUT TIERS
03

Haircut cards are divided into five tiers. Higher tiers cost more DP to play but award more score points. You must have enough DP to play a card — or earn more through dares first.

HAIR LENGTH SCALING
Some haircut cards scale in tier based on the receiver's hair length. A cut that's Tier 1 on short hair may become Tier 3 on very long hair — the same cut is more extreme when there's more to lose.

CARD TYPES
04
✂️
Haircut Cards
Give to opponent. You spend DP based on tier, earn score points. Opponent earns a bravery score bonus and bravery DP for accepting.
GIVE TO OPPONENT
💰
Points Cards
Dare cards — pick these for instant score points and DP. Your opponent performs it on you. Low risk, guaranteed return.
DONE TO YOU
🎭
Creative Cards
Styling challenges, roleplay scenarios and creative performances. Good DP earners. Both players enjoy these.
DONE TO YOU
💜
Kink Cards
Sensory and tension-filled dares. Physical closeness, slow touches, tools used with intention. Earn solid DP for both.
DONE TO YOU
🧣
Cape Cards
Ceremonial barber ritual moments — the consultation, the wait, the standoff. Build anticipation before the real cut.
RITUAL MOMENT
🎨
Colour Cards
Like haircut cards but for colouring — given to opponent, costs DP by tier. Both players earn DP when the colour is completed.

Cutting Modifiers
Add to any haircut for an extra twist — one hand only, eyes closed, no talking. Costs you DP by rarity. Receiver earns DP for accepting. Cards marked ✦ can also be played solo as dares.
ADD TO HAIRCUT
🎬
Roleplay Cards
Full improvised scenes with defined characters and timers. High DP for both players. The deepest cards in the game — they require real commitment. Includes Power Dynamic cards for control and surrender scenarios.
BOTH PLAYERS
🎬
ROLEPLAY CARDS
05

Roleplay cards set up improvised scenes between both players. Each card gives you a character, a premise, and a timer. Both players earn DP for committing to the scene.

The selector's opponent performs the scene with them. A timer is shown — stay in character until it runs out. Breaking character early forfeits the DP earned.

SALON SCENARIOS
The First Time
SALON · RARE · 3 MIN
Nervous trainee meets patient but anxious client. Build trust through character before a single tool is touched.
The VIP
SALON · UNCOMMON · 3 MIN
An impossibly demanding celebrity and their flustered junior stylist. At least three demands before a tool is touched.
The Ultimatum
DRAMA · MYTHIC · 5 MIN
Fed up partner vs someone who hasn't changed their hair in years. The compromise reached in the scene becomes the actual cut next turn.
The Commentary Box
COMEDY · RARE · 3 MIN
Live sports commentary for every single action. Receiver reacts as if watching a match. Any silence over 5 seconds resets the timer.
POWER DYNAMICS
The Surrender
POWER · EPIC · 4 MIN
Receiver states "I surrender control" aloud. Cutter decides everything — the cut, the pace, when receiver may speak. Unsolicited movement costs 5 DP.
The Permission Game
POWER · MYTHIC · 3 MIN
Receiver must ask permission for everything — to swallow, to blink, to breathe deeply. Cutter decides yes or no. Scene ends when the timer runs out.
Total Control
POWER · DIVINE · 5 MIN
5 minutes of absolute authority. No veto, no negotiate, no expressions of displeasure. Receiver may only speak when directly asked. What cutter says goes.
The Reversal
POWER · DIVINE · 4 MIN
At the halfway buzzer, roles completely swap. Cutter becomes client, receiver becomes stylist. The new cutter must continue whatever was started. No stopping.
RARITY
06

Rarity affects Cutting Modifier cards only — it controls the DP cost to add the modifier to a cut, and the DP the receiver earns for accepting it. On all other card types, rarity is cosmetic and affects stripe colour only.

RARITY DP COST TO CUTTER DP EARNED BY RECEIVER DESCRIPTION
COMMON−1 DP+1 DPSimple constraints. Easy to add, easy to accept.
UNCOMMON−2 DP+2 DPA noticeable challenge for both players.
RARE−3 DP+3 DPGenuinely tricky. Makes any cut harder to execute.
EPIC−5 DP+5 DPHigh risk, high reward. Reserved for bold plays.
MYTHIC−8 DP+8 DPNear-impossible constraints on an already extreme cut.
DIVINE ✦−12 DP+12 DPOne copy in the deck. The most extreme rules possible.
⚖️
VETO & NEGOTIATE
07
🚫 VETO — 1 PER GAME
The receiver can veto any haircut or modifier being played on them. Costs −5 DP from receiver. The cut is cancelled, the cutter gets their DP back and receives a fresh hand to pick again. Once used, the Veto token is gone for the whole game.
🚫 VETO MODIFIER
You can veto just the modifier added to a cut — leaving the underlying haircut intact. Uses the same Veto token. Modifier is removed and the cut proceeds without it.
💬 NEGOTIATE — 1 PER GAME
The receiver can offer DP to get the cutter to swap their haircut card. Use the slider to set your offer. Cutter can accept (takes the DP, picks a new card from a fresh hand) or decline (original cut proceeds). Once used, the Negotiate token is gone.
💬 NEGOTIATE MODIFIER
You can also negotiate just the modifier. Offer DP to have it removed. If accepted the DP is transferred and the modifier is dropped — the underlying cut still proceeds.
🃏
WILDCARD ROUNDS
08
WHEN
In Wildcard mode, every 3rd round is a Wildcard round. A gold banner appears at the top of the screen to alert both players.
TIER LOCKS REMOVED
All haircut cards are available regardless of your current DP. You can play Legendary cuts for free during a Wildcard round.
×1.5 SCORE POINTS
All haircut card score points are multiplied by 1.5 during Wildcard rounds. Maximum points for maximum chaos.
DOUBLE DP EARNED
All DP earned during a Wildcard round is doubled — bravery DP, dare card DP, colour card DP, everything. After the round both players receive a minimum DP bonus to re-engage.
🧠
STRATEGY TIPS
09
💎
BANK DP EARLY
The first 2–3 rounds are for dare cards. Stack DP through Kink, Creative and Roleplay cards so you can afford Tier 3–4 cuts in the back half.
CHASE ESCALATION
Every time you go up a tier from your last cut, both players earn +5 DP. Deliberately step up through tiers each turn for free DP bonuses.
🃏
SAVE VETO FOR LATE
Your Veto is most valuable in the final rounds when the opponent has maxed DP and can go Legendary. Don't waste it on a Tier 1 cut in round 2.
🎬
ROLEPLAY PAYS BIG
Roleplay cards earn 5–8 DP for both players. Two or three early Roleplay cards can fund the entire rest of your game. Don't ignore them.
MODIFIER TIMING
Pair Divine modifiers with Legendary cuts for massive DP transfers. The receiver earns +12 DP just for accepting — your opponent might actually want that deal.
🌀
PLAN FOR WILDCARD
In Wildcard mode, know that round 3, 6, 9 etc are free-for-all. Save your best haircut cards for these rounds — tier locks are gone and points are ×1.5.
